Connecting with the right physical and mental health services is vital to aging successfully. Yet, it can sometimes be challenging to get the care we need and to understand the treatments we are given. Many in our communities face the added responsibility of navigating this care without the support of spouses and children. Being a strong self-advocate includes asking the right questions and becoming an informed consumer of our medications, treatments, and healthcare needs. Especially in the context of the opioid crisis, being knowledgeable about the medications we are taking can help us to stay healthy and safe.
You are invited to join us for this free forum exploring self-advocacy, healthcare in the era of the opioid crisis, and navigating services as we get older.
