National Aging in Place Council of Philadelphia

NursePartners and Rothamel Bratton (now Bratton Scott) co-founded the National Aging in Place Council in May 2016.  We realized that not all segments of the population had access to the same resources.  Individuals that are ineligible for public assistance, but also not wealthy, did not know where to access the resources to help them age in place.

How would older adults know who specializes in providing quality care for aging in place related services?  Who could they contact to make home modifications, downsize their residence, seek long-term care insurance, or enroll in hospice services?

This need for reliable and certified services spurred our desire to create a group that could provide solutions to these questions.  We could feel confident that our members supported older adults age independently, comfortably, and safely at home.  We bring professionals together to share their expertise from the private, academic, and non-profit services.  Together we collaborate on initiatives and educate the public.

We thoroughly vet potential members.  All NAIPC Philadelphia members have successfully completed criminal background checks, possess senior certifications in their field of service, and are verified by the group through reference checks and interviews.  We only want to refer the best service providers to our clients in their moments of need.
